VoIP overview
Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) is a collection of technologies which enable the transmission of voice and multimedia over the internet for users to conduct real-time voice communications. Customers use this technology to make free or very lost-cost calls over the internet.
The Salpo platform is the service behind the pop-up phone call notifications so users can easily identify who is calling. The VoIP integration is available on all plans with the option to integrate with providers, such as Avaya, BT, Go Integrator, Mitel, Panasonic and many more. How to connect
Navigate to the Control Panel and click on the Integrations option within the Admin section. Select More Details within the VoIP integration panel to start the connection process.

Once a provider is selected, the screen will update to show information regarding that provider and its relationship with Salpo CRM.
Included on this screen are instructions on how to move forward with the VoIP and Salpo CRM integration. In summary, the telephone system supplier needs to be contacted to request an install of the VoIP service. Once installed, a step-by-step guide on how to complete the integration will be provided.

Using the VoIP integration
By integrating a telephone system with Salpo CRM increases productivity when making and receiving calls. This integration enables users to:
- see the name of callers while the phone is still ringing
- quickly access the callers contact profile page within Salpo CRM
- search Salpo CRM for a contact and quickly dial the contact's associated phone number
- quickly search and create new contacts
