Privacy Statements can only be added via the Control Panel settings.
To add a Privacy Statement navigate to the Control Panel > click on Custom Object types under the Admin panel > click on Privacy Statement on the left of the screen > click View Privacy Statements > the Privacy Statement list view will open in a new browser window > click the green Add button in the right top corner of the Privacy Statements list view page.
The Add Privacy Statement window contains a 'Standard Details' and a default 'GDPR Details' category. Name the Privacy Statement by its version, change Access level permissions of the Privacy Statement or add Standard connections (example - Compliance manager / Content writer/ Security officer etc..) in the Standard Details category.
Use the default custom fields underneath the GDPR Details category in Add Privacy Statement window to record:
Date Created- The Date the Statement was initiated
Statement - Copy the company's privacy statement in full and paste it in the statement text field. The statement is stored here for reference but can also be uploaded as a file within the Privacy Statement profile page. When using the GDPR CAT Tool, the privacy statement must be pasted into the Statement text field in order to publish the Policy Statement on the Contact Consent Portal. This allows the Contacts to view, read and provide consent to the applicable privacy statement.
Status - Select Active or Inactive from the select drop-down.
Version - Name the version of the statement for reference.
The default field labels within the GDPR Details category cannot be edited or deleted from the Control Panel settings. However, additional custom categories and fields can be added to the Privacy Statement custom Object via the Control Panel settings.
