The import preview indicates all irregularities on a CSV data file after a user imports data into a Salpo instance. The import preview helps users identify and understand any errors within that CSV file.
Exporting the list of identified errors will assist with managing the CSV file and taking any corrective actions against the data.
Navigating to the import preview page: System header drop-down > Imports > Choose and Name file > Add Import > Directed to Configure Import > Add applicable Objects > Map column headers > Preview.
The 'Preview' option is only available after mapping at least one field from the 'CSV Columns' section to a field under the 'Objects' section.
On the Preview page, click 'Export to CSV' to download/export the list of errors.
Errors export into a CSV file for management and review. Users can manually correct the errors defined within a saved copy of the imported CSV file and then chose the 'Use Different File' option to upload a corrective file using the same mapping as the original file.
Users can proceed with processing the data import even though errors have been identified. Cell values identified to contain an error will be ignored but the remaining values in the row will import as expected.
