Objects can be filtered by contact details (which are stored against the Object), custom fields and connections (based on other modules connected with Objects).
For a simple list view of a specific Object, click on the Object name in the main header bar.
The list displayed is, by default, all Objects of that type saved in the Salpo CRM. Contact and custom fields are available in the More drop-down to filter the list further.
Filtering using standard and custom fields
The More dropdown contains standard fields such as Object name or email and address (these only display if the Object has the Allow contact details option selected in the control panel). It also contains the names of any custom fields saved against the Object.
The list of Objects can be filtered further by adding multiple filters, each time selecting from the More drop-down.
This example is using objects as Jobs. "Show me all jobs which started in March and were road surfacing or scaffolding jobs".
The Exists and NOT options are available within each standard and custom field filter. These options define if the filtered list results should include records where values exist or should include records which do not have a specific value populated.
Filtering via connections
More advanced filtering can be achieved by using the Connections drop-down. An unlimited amount of modules (contacts, opportunities, products) can be connected to Objects. Labels are used to describe how these contacts or modules are connected. Learn more about filtering Objects to obtain a list of any which are connected to an Opportunity.
Saving filters allows users to come back and reload a previously used filter at any time. Saved filters also drive the selections available within the dashboard widgets. Saving a filter doesn't save the results of the filter, just the filter query, so when the filter is loaded at a later date a list of updated results will populate. See our Saved Filters document to learn more about this feature.
