When creating an Opportunity, a Contact must be attributed to the Opportunity. This Contact is referred to as the Primary contact. Any other Contacts that are connected to the Opportunity via the standard Contact connection are referred to as Connected contacts.
Contacts can be filtered by the Primary and Connected connection types.
To filter Contacts by Opportunities:
Navigate to the Contacts list view > Click the Connections filter drop-down > Select Opportunities
Note: The Opportunity filter label will be available underneath the Connections filter only when the Opportunity module is enabled within the control panel.
When the Opportunities filter is selected, by default, the Primary filter is applied. This displays all Contacts which have an Opportunity against their record.
Combine the Primary filter with the NOT option to reverse the query and view. Showing all Contacts which have no Opportunities against them.
Select the Connected filter to narrow down the Contact list to view Contacts that are connected to Opportunities as standard connections.
When the Connected filter is applied, the blue Opportunities label populates with an additional option. This option allows the user to filter the results list by the connection Label used when adding that Contact to the Opportunity.
After selecting the Opportunities connection type, use the More drop-down to filter the results list by Opportunity standard and/or custom fields.
The Opportunity standard fields are available at the top of the options list followed by any custom fields, which are listed under their category headers. As many fields as necessary can be applied as filters to obtain the targeted list.
