Access to the Consent Portal is granted via a unique GDPR Consent Portal link sent to Contacts from the Salpo CRM Contact list view page. The link to the consent portal will expire after 24hours from the time the link is received to the contact's email address. This message validates the email address and provides access to the consent portal. Check out the Email Contacts requesting consent document to learn more.
Clicking on the link provided will take the Contact to the portal. The Consent Portal can be customised within the Control Panel settings to match organisation standards. Read Portal settings to learn more.
A portal introduction displays at the top of the page and is followed by the Privacy Statement. The Privacy Statement most recently added as an Object within Salpo CRM will display here. Read the Adding Privacy Statements document to learn more.
The form to grant consent will look like the below.
The Contact must tick I agree with the privacy statement for the compliance to save and record against the Contact's profile page within the CRM. This is a mandatory field.
Displayed beneath the Privacy Statement are the contact and custom fields which are marked to require consent for GDPR compliance. If a field is marked as requiring consent but the field is not populated on the Contact's profile page, then the field will not display in the Portal. Contacts will only see data associated with their Salpo CRM profile page.
The data values from the Contact's profile page are displayed in a Read Only format. The Contact is able to define consent for each unique field as Unknown, Granted or Denied. The consent defined within the portal will reflect against the Contact's profile page upon submission. Read the GDPR consent window document to learn more.
When the Contact clicks Submit, the system will automatically update the associated Contact profile file and a pop-up notification will alert the Contact that the details have been saved. When reviewing consent details on the Contact's profile page, the date and time of when consent was provided will default to when the Contact clicked Submit in the portal, the Source will default to 'Online Portal' and the Description will reflect 'Salpo CRM consent portal.' These three fields can all be reported on via the Contact list view page.
