A Custom Object can represent any entity or element that is relevant to the business. Objects can store data such as contact details and/or specific data about the item using Custom Fields.
Here are some examples of how different businesses would use custom objects:
- A taxi company may create a ‘Cars’ or ‘Assets’ Custom Object to track the depreciation, maintenance and ownership of the vehicle.
- An IT support company may create a ‘Support Tickets’ Custom Object to track service issues.
- A maintenance company may create a ‘Jobs’ or ‘Contracts’ Custom Object
- An event planner may create an ‘Events’ Custom Object to track weddings and parties.
