Google have recently updated their IMAP settings preventing 3rd party apps from directly accessing the system with authorisation from the owner (or you use one of their own apps).
This has caused some problems connecting (or reconnecting) to Gmail accounts using the Salpo CRM email connector. You may receive an email from Google explaining that a 'Sign-in attempt has been prevented'.
If you have experienced some issues connecting to Gmail and you have checked your username/password, port (993) and server address (imap.gmail.com), please follow the steps below:
- Click on this link to take you to Google's 'Less Secure Apps' page.
- Select Turn on. Note to Google Apps users: This setting is hidden if your administrator has locked less secure app account access.
- Try connecting to your Gmail account again from Salpo CRM. Your mailboxes should now load correctly.
If you are still experiencing problems please contact support.
