Each opportunity has a profile page where you and your team can update and manage opportunities quickly and easily.
The profile page contains several areas you can edit and manage.
Standard & Custom fields
Every opportunity has standard fields, most of which you can edit.
You can edit the value of the opportunity plus the currency.
This is the contact the opportunity is assigned to. If you change the contact, the contact details at the top of the page will change accordingly.
The owner is the person attributed to the opportunity. This could be sales person in the company or an external contact such as a referrer.
This is the date the opportunity was created. This cannot be edited.
Estimate Close Date
The estimated close date helps sales teams and managers roughly know when the opportunity will be closed or won.
Chance of Close
A helpful tool for sales teams is predicting how likely the opportunity is to close (or win).
The description box allows users to enter more information about the opportunity.
Opportunities can have unlimited custom fields assigned to them. These can be setup by an administrator in the control panel > opportunities page.
Custom fields can be added to the opportunity by selecting the + icon next to the custom field category name. Once saved, these fields can be edited by selecting the pencil icon next to the field.
By default, opportunities comes with a single select custom field labelled Stage. This field has 4 options to choose from; Lead, Qualified, Quoted and Concluded. The name of this field and the options can be edited in the opportunities settings page.
You can use custom fields to filter your list of opportunities.
You can schedule and record communications (notes) against an opportunity. As with any communication, a user and contact need to be added to the To or From fields. Once you have saved the communication, it will be added to the user and contact profile pages and tag it with the opportunity.
Communications are displayed under the Communications tab.
If you wish to add a communication from a contact profile, you can tag the opportunity by searching for the opportunity name inside the Tag field.
If you use the email connector, you can automatically sync emails direct to the opportunity. By including the tag (at the end of the opportunity name) in your email subject or in the body, the email will be uploaded against the contact and the opportunity,
NEW If your opportunity has an email address against it, you can create a new email to send with the tag automatically added to the subject line by clicking the email address. This will load a new email in your default email client (e.g. Outlook/Mac mail).
Salpo CRM has an intelligent email connector that syncs emails from users mail boxes and places them against a contact's profile.
You can extend this functionality to opportunities by copying the tag (located next to the opportunity name) and placing it in the subject of your email.
Once the email connector syncs your email, it will copy it to the relevant user and contact profile, plus the communications tab within the opportunity.
In addition to the contact directly linked to the opportunity, you can connect unlimited number of additional contacts and users to the opportunity.
You can connect contacts/users by selecting Contact under the Add dropdown.
Search for contacts or users in the Contact Name field and add an option label.
After connecting contacts, opportunities will display under the linked contacts profile page, inside the Opportunities tab.
You can upload files to an opportunity by selecting Files inside the Add dropdown.
Most file formats are accepted. Once you have uploaded files, other users will be able to download them.
Users can update the status of an opportunity from within the opportunity profile page. By default the labels for statuses are Won or Lost, however your administrator can change these from the opportunity settings page.
Statuses appear on the overview page, plus around Salpo CRM where opportunities are displayed.
The standard status is In progress. A status can be changed by selecting one of two options on the profile page, Won or Lost.
Note: these labels might be different if they have been changed in the control panel.
Once the status has been changed it will be updated around Salpo CRM. You can change the status back to In progress by selecting Reopen, located under the configure dropdown.
