Connecting DEAR Systems software to Salpo

Creating an API key
Go to the Salpo Control Panel using the cog icon in the top right of the screen > select the Integrations option under the Admin section > and click the More details hyperlink embedded on the DEAR Systems badge.
This will take you to the DEAR integration overview page. This is where the integration and sync preferences are managed. The first step is connecting Salpo with DEAR.
Click on the DEAR Systems API key page hyperlink to generate an API key within DEAR. This data will need to be copy/pasted back into Salpo under the Overview tab.
Or log in directly to DEAR. Click the INTEGRATION menu bar option and click the API badge.
Create a new API by clicking on the plus icon next to the Overview tab on this page. Name the API key and hit Save. The API Account ID and Key will auto generate. These are the fields which need to be copy and pasted back into Salpo. Make sure the Application is left marked as Active. To access the DEAR API key data another time, click on the name given to the API key in the DEAR API set up page.
Setting up the Integration
Copy the API data from DEAR and navigate back to the Salpo CRM. Paste the copied values into the associated matching field.
The Account ID in DEAR Systems = Account ID Salpo CRM
API key in DEAR Systems = Application Key in Salpo CRM
Click Connect to sync the Salpo and DEAR accounts.
Defining the sync Settings
Upon clicking Connect, the DEAR default Account setting page will appear. This information needs to be filled out to match the settings in DEAR. Information selected on this step will be utilised when syncing Contacts from Salpo into DEAR, ensuring preferred default values are used.
These fields will need to be re-input every time the Update button is used.
Default customer taxation rule
DEAR Systems requires that all customer type contacts to contain a tax rule. All tax rules available in DEAR Systems will be available in the Default customer taxation rule drop-down.
The tax rule selected will apply to all contacts which sync with DEAR systems.
This tax rule is applicable only for contact syncing, and will not be applicable for any product synchronisation.
Default payment term
The specified range of payment terms in DEAR Systems will be available to select in Default payment term drop-down. Your selection will apply to all contacts you sync with DEAR Systems.
Default account receivable
Any account type in - Asset / Equity / Expense or Liability, set to accept payments & listed in the Chart of accounts in DEAR Systems will be available under Default account receivable filed.
Default revenue account
All account types listed under Revenue in DEAR Systems > Chart of accounts will be available in Default revenue account.
Click Save to to finish setting up the integration with DEAR Systems.
